Jim Hudspeth Jim joined Natel in November 2006 as the Vice President - Advanced Ceramic Division. Jim is responsible for all aspects of Ceramic operations including material, production, capacity and manpower planning, and quality manufacturing systems. He is also responsible for customer interface and program management of major contracts related to this division. Jim has over 25 years experience in the High Technology Field, with experience in products ranging from Opto-Electrical transmission technologies to Advanced Semiconductor Process and Test technologies. He has also had experience in Military and Avionics Flight systems development and manufacturing. Jim's most recent experience was with Vitesse Semiconductors where he was the VP of Operations for Test and for Opto-Electronic Manufacturing. His experience in the Opto-Electronic area was to startup a Manufacturing Division for Vitesse to produce their 10GB bandwidth Optical Transponders. This experience gave him insight into the roadblocks and challenges of taking a Laboratory developed product line to mass production. Many of these challenges were solved with various offshore and US based sub-contract manufacturers, but the total manufacturing capabilities were developed in the San Jose site. Jim also spent 15 years with United Technologies in various positions of Engineering and Manufacturing management. He worked his way up the organization to eventually become the Plant Manager for both the UT division in Colorado, and the UT division in Puerto Rico. Products produced by these operations serviced an extensive customer base in the Military and Aerospace markets. Early in his career, Jim also worked for Motorola and GTE Government Systems. Mr. Hudspeth has undergraduate degrees in Engineering and Business, and also has an MBA. |
